Lol. Dont you remember me putting my D2S bulb in yours? It fitted fine.
I can guarantee you both that the D2S bulbs will be the ones that fit. It's more the wiring that is the problem.

Look at the raised tabs in the picture zui took and then Look at the tabs on the picture of the bulb I posted up. Exact fit.

When you install them and find u can only get 1 side to work it will mean they have rewired it and u will need to get a auto electrian to fix it up

Stock FTO HID globes are 35w D2S 4300k Osram items. I would therefore assume that the stock ballast is a 35w ballast. Mine was so rusted out I couldn't decipher anything on it.

You two might want to reread what I wrote earlier about the possible scenarios you might have.
evoman wrote: However, we still don't know what they do with the wiring to make the H1 bulbs work, so there could be any amount of wiring work required to actually get it all connected up and working again.
Either way, you guys are not just going to be able to buy a D2S bulb, plug it in, and get it all working as you no longer have the right socket or wiring.

I may be off the mark, but can see three possible scenarios;
1(Best Case) - They are using the red power cable from the ballast to power the halogen bulb (not sure if that is possible),and have just earthed the black wire, so effectively all the wiring is still the same.
This would meant that you would merely need to buy a D2S bulb, and a DS2 socket/harness like the one below and solder this on to the the stock wires.

This assumes the stock ballast is still connected and working properly. They might even remove this for all we know so far.

2) They have bypassed the ballast, but all the wiring up to the ballast is still the same.
In this case best option would be to buy a whole D2S HID kit including a new ballast. The only slightly shonky part of this would be the need to solder (or however you prefer) the wires from the ballast to the car power as the OEM power connector does not fit up to any HID kits. To mount the new ballast in the factory holder and to make life easier you would want to remove the front bumper and take the lights out for this option.

3) (Worst case) They have made changes to the wiring relays further back in the system in which case probably only a sparky could figure out what is going on.
I think the safest option would be to get a kit and try from there.

Ok i just thought of something... i have a h3 (i think it is) kit at home... could i probs just rewire that whole kit onto it instead? unless the bulb is like 1 or 2 mm too long for the projector as i remember it being... >_>

Nice one. But no mods needed at all?
Were you even able to plug into the power socket going back to the car?
Was the stock ballast still in place and did you replace it with a new one or?

When I did mine I had to solder the power wires cause the connectors looked like this :-(

my case might be different with yours as my red and black wires does not come with those connectors. the kit actually comes with the black connector which you showed but i did not use it as my wires are bare.

I used a brass connector with two screws on each end connect the wires and wrap it up with insulated tape.
Actually any type of connectors you can find will do the job. As long as they give a solid connection.

Ahh fair enough.
Yeh I was a bit anal and wanted to hide the ballast in the stock holder and retain as much of the stock wiring as possible.

What colour have you got at the moment?

Well i apparently did not have a stock ballast it was completely removed... >_> lol
We cut the wires on both the kit and the car and used fittings to connect them works perfectly fine =]. So im guessing thats all youd have to do aswell.. just snip off the kits end and splice the wires from the kit to the wires from the car and youll be fine =]
