Im not too sure what you mean :s on the box it says:
Quick install connectors and screws, universal clips for P4 LGA 775 P4 Prescott, AMD K8, K7.
PCI slot for VR and tube

And yes it has been used, but i cant remember when and by who in the house since i had never actually seen this before i went looking for things in the garage.

sorry harry but ive got an AM3 :( i would of loved to of used it and im not game enough to water cool my video card :(

A TP-LINK 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet Switch with 8 ports
And a Serial ATA 150 PCI card

Working on getting more pics up asap ;)

Are you kidding? 24 ports are heaps expensive! You're looking at $400 or more. Its cheaper to cascade 3 el-cheapo 8 porters. Only reason I ended up with a 24 porter was compliments of work! :lol:

Question is Simon, how many items are you gonna connect up?

well I am planning on running cat6 to 8 points in the house (one to each of the main rooms of the house) and then I suppose I connect the modem, phone and a pc to it and meeting point (study)....???


Can anyone else tell I am really confused? Anyone got a diagram? The main thing is I dont want to get the walls on and then think I should have done soemthing else

Haha, have you ever seen 'network' diagrams? All these generic icons that are supposed to represent PCs or phones all connected up via lightning bolts to a cloud :lol:

If I've got time tonight, I'll MS Paint up your floor plans with something.

Don't worry thou, home networking is really easy these days. It's all plug & play :)

That would be awesome. I am not to good with learning by reading, I am visual learner. Hmmmm thats probably why I sucked at school so much.

Lucky I "borrowed" a few from tafe last year then I guess...
