What bout the 3sge jdm engine in 1994 or 1995 it had 132kws and that's a 4cyl
Then there's the supra basicly the same style but better head lights better tail lights more add ons and more power

fto engines have 147kw and also have 200nm's of torque
3sge engine has 132kw and 186nm's of torque

their both 2l engines so it dosent really matter about how many cylinders are in the engines heaps as the 4cyl engine has bigger cylinders.

taillights may look better in the supra but i much rather the headlights in the fto over the supra.

the honda 4 cylinders Eventually matched the power and torque of the 6a12

The Supras weigh soooo much, i think they're over 1.6 tonne standard.. not exactly a handling beast. You can only really compare a FTO to an integgy/civic/lancer performance wise, theyre fantastic against anything heavier....

That's the gpx the gr is only about 125kws so it out dose a standard fto non mivec and has a lot more add on parts and also came out in turbo

actually GR is 134kw

Well every thing I've read has stated its between 125 and 134 between 1994 and 1996

180BHP=134KW the facelift gx was uprated to 190BHP I believe

Well autospeed states its 127kws mivec is 147 and turbo is 147

Doesnt matter really, when you take the weight into account, FTO wins hands down with any of those figures (non turbo of course).

base model supra (iv) is 1460kg thats manual non t top model so still heaps heavier

bah ... dont worry man, in the end, you chose the fto for what it is right ? and not a supra/more powerful car for a reason ?

Just appreciate the uniqueness of the car, good or bad, especially the sexyness of the car.

Ok look at the supra it looks it's age inside and out, now look at the FTO it still looks like they are coming out of the factory. The shape of them keeps with the times.
For a light N/A car they are great.

we were compairing the 3sge engine with the 6a12 not the cars and the reason the supra is so heavy is cause it has to be that engine is half the weight so they have to even it out some how

I never said I didn't like my fto just like how you put in bigger engines or turbo or change front bumpers spoilers ect u wish things were diff

no no, its not like that, its more on, get the best fto(desired specs, options, condition, etc) you can afford to start with, then modding it to make it better and better to your liking..

Some people might look like they dont like the fto because for example, they do an engine swap... but keep in mind, they still kept the fto body, now that was done for a reason, and not just pick another car. The engine mod would more likely be perceived to be an upgrade replacement, or a big mod.

hopefully i made sense.

A few reasons why I didn't get a Supra:
- No tiptronic
- Looks hideous stock
- Engine ages
- Less reliable
- Interior is hideous also
- It's a Toyota
- Feels too fat not tuned up

A few reasons why I didn't get a Skyline:
- Also looks rubbish stock
- Interior isn't as nice also
- Hard to find decent bodykit parts

And that's pretty much the reason I'm sticking with the FTO for now, even if it does have it's flaws
