no, the R34's were built crap as well...
fair amount produced... none of them on the road
yeah
didnt mind the r32 becuase I thought, finally a nice light rwd chassis and good power, then came the r33 and its motorboat handling and while the r34 gtr had some sophisticated technology in it, it took away from the agility and raw appeal of the earlier skylines

i love the gtr 34's... i think if nissan went back to the 90's style box, they would still reign these days. 35gtr are ok... front rotors are like the size of fto stock rims
delvance - yeh i would have a v35 over a gpvr... but would easily choose a silvia chasis over a skyliine anyday

imo: the problem with skylines is the dickhead drivers (no offense to the non-dickhead skyline drivers out there, it's the case of the one bad apple that ruined the basket.)
honestly when i see a skyline, be a a r32 or a v35, i think one of two thing (depending on the area I'm in):
1. look daddy bought you a car, great, now lear now to drive, i.e. parallel parking, or drive in a straight line, and sometimes indicating would help too
2. great you bought what you thought will make your dick seem bigger to your boy friends, but why are you trying to race me - does it really make you feel better to know your "purpose built 2.4/2.6 v6 sports car can go up this lookout faster than a 4 cyl family sedan? (I often roll around in a 2004 4cyl camry, cos I need the space or the air con lol)
I really think it's the people rather than the car, I remember when I was looking to buy a car (ended up with the fto), one of the reasons I chose the fto was that it didn't have the retard compensating for a small dick stigma of the skylines or the hondas (once again no offense to the good VTEC YO!!!!! guys out there)
now I like to point out, I'm a cruiser, not a racer. I love pushing whatever car I'm driving (be it the fto, 2004 camry or 85 corona) as hard has i can in a safe environment, but I don't see the point of speeding in a straight line on the streets (i.e. rx7 series 7 pulls up next to me at the lights, revs it, "u serious?" roll up window), i enjoy driving, i enjoy the solitude i get from it, whether i'm doing 40km/h or 120, no difference to me. - and that's my biggest problem with the typical skyline drivers, VTEC YO!!!!! boys, or even a lot of lancer drivers, and of course your ervyday bogondores and falcoons, - just leave me the f**k alone, i don't want to get into a pissing comp with your herpies infested dick!
anyways, my 2c worth of rant, take it with a grain of salt, i don't mean to offend anyone that shouldn't be offended by this.

sorry man I wasn't bashing v35s, I just don't like the way they look personally. I'm sure you remember though, I told you yours was the first one I actually liked the look of. I've only ever seen standard V35s and just don't like their stock look.

J,
For how you drive, i would be recommending you get a silvia too haha.
Don't get me wrong though, a little careful tuning and the v becomes quite capable, even in the natio. Only problem is the size, but that applies to most sky.lines.
Subby,
All good mate, wasn't even referring to you lol.
FWIW, i don't like the look of standard Vs either lol...not the best looker, the rear is nice but the front is a bit wtf.
The "issues" are likely armchair racers spewing forth gibberish...then again, we are in the gibberish corner after all lol.

Well said! V35's are pretty overall. You basically get the drivetrain, motor and handling of the 350z in a better package with rear seats for a much lower price. I've driven a few and would say that they're quicker than the fto's... Not quicker than 33's or 34's, but thats only in a straight line...
As for the sky.line debate. Go buy or drive one. The cars are a shitload of fun and . Buy a stock 33 or 34, add a $400 intercooler and a larger exhaust system (less than $1k) and you'll be getting around 170 rwkws... Fto's have better suspension from factory hands down though...

Hideous, the lot of them. The japs sure can make an engine, but they should certainly take a leaf out the the Euro styling book..

the first 3 pics are american cars
the last three are jap
euro styling?
wtf is this

"shakotan" style (rusted bodys, flush wheel fitment etc)

in europe - american styled "hellaflush" (car ride as low as possible and really flush wheel fitment)

i really like the vw scene where it is at the moment

[/img]
what euro styling??.... everything euro has been taken from america and japan

looking at the golf gti, audi r8, bmw m3, amg mercs...there's definitely a distinct european style that the americans and japs should envy. Not that they haven't produced some decent looking cars themselves.

I actually thought we were talking about OEM
OO, I KNOW, LET'S BREAK OUT THE HELLAMODS!!!
Sorry, but, NO!
Ok, not bad for OEM
Don't ever tell me Euro cars are anything like Jap/American cars, this is beautiful!
DISCLAIMER: Yes I know the $ values are very different, but I purposely chose cars around the same age and class. Anything can look good modified, and I do mean anything (when tastefully done) but there aren't many manufacturers that make a beautiful car out of the box.
There still ain't much outside Japan that looks anywhere near as good as an FTO stock. The lines are beautiful for a car of this age as we all know.

Euro styling is so curvy/svelte/classy.. But we don't want that!!! It's like a woman all polite in bed moaning a little and just laying there.. (in no way am I saying I want a bogan in bed either o.0)
