im running an 18x9'' et+24 on my rear with 235/40 and it fits ok... i'll be going to 215/45 when the tyres wear out though..
trick is to go to a small tyre shop. places like bob jane and the usual tyres shops wont do it as its considered unsafe to stretch a tyre over a wheel that is used on our roads
3cm out of the guards? mine sat 1cm and i had a lower offset and stock camber... ???
now they sit flush with my fenders with some diy guard modding

35 series will give you a nice rough ride
You realise as well, that going that big & wide will
loose you performace?
Its been proven time & time again, a 17 inch rim is the best for performance (so far as track times etc go) - Some people have even gone back down to a 16 & seen even better times.
If its purely for bling, then knock yourself out

Should have noted this include spacers...
and it was on the front that the gap was measured.

ahhh fair enough.
you can easily manipulate the front fenders to accomodate. ive pulled my front fenders out a good cm to acomodate the lower offset on my front so pushing it out another 1cm and a half shouldnt be to hard
@ben - i know the 9wides will slow it down a tad because they weigh more and take longer to spin but what ive realised from driving with it on is it has countered some of the understeer and fast turns feel allot sharper now,
ps. putting 9wide was really for looks though
and i want a set of 16/17'' te37s for track

yup, exactly why im considering getting a set of 17's with a set of semi slicks just for cruise/track days, would save money in the long run
edit: sh*t today my 225/40/18s took 84psi before they popped on the bead!
