granted the density of the fuel (for a set volume) changes based on the temperature, but nowhere near 2 litres of difference.

even for a 30*C temperature drop, the difference in density will be measured on mL, not L!

They are an aftermarket part that can be sourced at any local auto shop. I once bought one from Auto One, ACA brand, Part Number: OX204 generic 4 wire. Was 80 bucks. Say its for a 6A12 HJ Galant so they can find the listing for it.

The price I quoted was for all 6 plugs. When I was driving on the highway it was definitly not like a grandma. I travelled from Brisbane to Gladstone in 4.5hrs. Thats just under 600kms.

However I did drive like a grandma last week to and from work and still managed 8.2L/100km. I was surprised I could get it that low especialy city driving.

Im not 100% sure but pretty close that is the same company i got mine from a few yrs back. I paid $80+postage so that its a great price.

I remember my trip from brisbane to sydney, i kept an eye almost all the time at the tank, i swear, every hour it only used up 1/8 on the gauge, i was going 100~110 all the way, if i kept up, i would have almost reached 800!! but it was getting dark and i just wanted to go home, so, up to 120, even 130 when the highway is really long...

For me, i have been monitoring my fuel consumption closely for nearly 10months now.
Heres what i've found:

On average: 11km.L, 9.3L/100km
Tried Vortex98, V-power, Ultimate and Premium98 from 7-Eleven.
Apart from V-power, the rest shows good mileage.

Tried Vortex95 once and shows noticeable mileage reductions.

Impossible to choose which fuel is the best due to countless array of variations.

Minor and major services play very little role in improving mileage. That is based on my ride which is pretty well maintained. I believe it can make some % of difference if the ride hasnt got regular services.

Apart from major/minor services, gear oils change, tyres changed, coolant changed, lamps changed, CAI installed, voltage stabilizer installed, new battery...

shows no noticable improvements/decrease in mileage.

crap. it is too. 80-100k.. sorry.. you can imagine being bored at work and your brain just gets dead stupid..

And yes, i closely monitor my fuel gauge too.. its so hard to not think about it. I think in a minute i literally look at it about 10 times.

zuihoujueding - Have you tried mobil synergy 8000? the purple one ? its pretty good apparently, i use it on my stingy days

i've used it many times, and i think its pretty good. engine feels..better. thats the only way i can describe it.

yeah i usually use vortex or ultimate, but had to put vpower in this week, performance wise a small drop but more importantly efficiency major drop, quite dissapointed

sorry never use mobil before....maybe the station is not attractive enough to drive in. LOL. But sure will try it out.

feels to me that mobil is 2nd to bp, but not by much, though ill fill up with bp this week to see if i actually get a noticable mileage increase.
