That still works out at about 10,000 km/s a year (97 model).
I reckon the myth that Japs don't drive their cars is crap, seriously doubt that a lot of the k's showing on ppls clocks are genuine!
yeah i agree, i often see a couple of 94's95's for less than 50,000km, i would seriously doubt they are all geniune, my 97 GPX just clicked over 90,000km last weekend, still running incredibly smooth,

Perks of the job, driving to a lot of building sites and meetings in busier times.

Was nice when you get the equivalent of $2 a km for it!

I've been to Japan and I will honestly believe that they don't drive their cars much. When I was there I barely saw ANY sports car at all.
The reason for them not driving too much would be the out of this world transport system. Their subway is amazing, anywhere in the city you want to get to, there's a Subway entrance every 2 minutes, it will take you anywhere you want at a very reasonable price. Very well set up.

Currently 48,000
Had 40,000 when I bought it (straight from Japan) and suspect it to be genuine (car still only had a tape player and the interior is VERY tidy).

Yeah you both make a good point, and I'm not saying ALL cars aren't genuine. I just remain a little sceptical, that's all.

Yeah, I used to know a bloke called "Achmed".... and we used to give him all manner of speedo clutsers. When they came back, they all had lost certain amounts of kms. We paid him in cash
