so, to fit the tank, alone to the fto underbody, what would be required, if you know?

imo there are ways around it by fab'ing a different exhaust

if u gunna fit an evo tank, may as well fit boot floor, rear subframe and suspension too... 4WD baby!

replacing 1 thing is okay to get the desired result... so long as it is within reason... which so long as it's do-able, then it still is.

I think the fuel lines run on the driverside if so it would not be a good idea to run the pipe work that side.
as for the evo tanks if not mistaken are the a 45L tank
if you want to change tanks put in a fuel cell in the boot that will give you all the room under the car then but you still have the fuel line problem.

Couldn't you just run the exhaust straight under the fuel tank and just heat wrap it. Or am I missing something?

You definitly could but it would make the pipe very low. Probably wouldnt be a concern on factory height but would hit on everything when lowered
