I have to ask... what kind've answer did you expect to hear?
Might be in need of an attitude adjustment when they pull you over .. you might find that if you are a bit more humble, admit the mistake & explain that "you judged it to be too dangerous to stop so suddenly for the orange light"
.. the stop sign you have no excuse for, but they might let you off the hook if you're nice about it .. but not if you act like (or tell them that) you shouldn't have to obey the road rules because it's 3am ..
besides.. you don't need to stop for 5 seconds .. just, all 4 wheels need to come to a complete stop & then only pull out when it's safe ..
then again, I've never even met you, so what would I know? you might've just gotten a bad run of asshole cops in which case .. that's messed up :S either way, I hope you don't have any more nasty run ins..

haha thanks guys everyones got different opinions
but from what i copped i got an OTS fine for 343$ for running a red light and 3 demerits.
i talked to the officer and they were fairly understandable how my mate needed to get home and crap (they followed me until i dropped off the 3rd dude)
soo at the moment im on 1 point and im expecting a fine for disobey stop sign ...
the p plates, they took and told me to get a new one back on the car (probably let me off)
oh well ... lifes a bitch

yep sure was.
at least i feel a lot better now, just 2hours ago a honda accord ('98) with a cannon and windscreen decals on green p's was prevoking me for a race ...
he wanted to give me a go, but i didnt bother ... next set of lights he yells out the window with his hectic asian friend "fto are *~delightful!~* cars mate" ... lights go green and he just rips it and guess what? an undercover cop in an orange commodore (just spying on a median strip) chases him and pulls him over ... i drive pass with a smile
