My 4 speed tiptronic makes an identical noise. Unsure if it's normal.

Its totally normal ...... my 4spd exactly same and always has
as said its only when changing between D/N/R not while driving changing actual forward gears
actually VR4's and magnas etc same noise
I could only just hear it at idle while changing if sounds were off and could tune out of exhaust noise, of course with bonnet up it was obvious

It is the pump and galleries changing fluid pressure isn't it? All very instantaneous... Man, I would love to pull one apart and see how it works
