Wow - Sorry to hear.

Yea, I hate dikheads that do that.. the second day I had my car and drove it into work, somebody from my work building in a secured carpark keyed my car, but it wasn't as bad as yours, only starting from the passanger door going back to the rear panel, I never got it fixed and it's still there but yours is much worse.

Did you park your car in an area where it's deserted? Cos if they did the whole car they must've been confident that nobody would be around to see. Maybe park it on the main street in future. Anyway, sorry to hear again.

And yea, how did you get insurance with GIO?

if they've scratched every panel then definitely get a quote, it will be worth it if you can get a full respray in whatever colour you like ;) you may just have to pay the extra on top of what standard colours cost ..

good luck with it .. try not to stress, i'm sure it'll all work out.

Well i do park my car towards the front of the shopping centre as-well
with a lot of other workers from the centre and i usually park my car so close to the gutter and next to those land line sides and dont understand why this happened.

I look after my car i love it its what i worked so hard for and was for me.
I was saving to get my car done up a bit more but thats going to be put on hold :(

Security told me to park my car on the other side but then head of security of westfeild said park near all there cars (which i all-ready ust to)

See what GIO say tomorrow now about the premium . x

Welcome to the club!. Sorry to hear about the damage.Although I havent had this happen to me, I must admit im paranoid about it. I had my FTO broken into just over a year ago now and the mental scars this causes dont disappear in a hurry. When I park in a shopping centre, ill never park on the end of a row or next to a walkway. If you are anywhere near where the majority of people walk past, yours will be the one chosen if its random vandalism. If your car is more visible than others (like on the end of a row), itll stand out as a target.

Anyways, enough ranting from me, good luck with the repairs ;)

holy crap mate, I'd never even thought of it like that before..

I guess I have a different view of things because I've never had anyone "Deliberately" vandalise my car before .. that I know of .. and I guess because I can't understand why anyone would want to deliberately damage someone elses car ..

I ALWAYS park on the end of the row .. not next to footpaths or walkways though .. not near trolley bays .. I will always park away from everyone else where the carpark is semi empty .. not in dark corners of the carpark though .. always look out for camera's & park in view of them .. i never park in between two other cars ..
I always park away from 4WD's, minivans or cars with baby seats in them, sorry if where are any mothers on the forums .. but they are always the worst for opening doors into cars "the only thing that matters is getting their precious little roly poly chubby cheeked sh*t machine or their kids into the car"

Now theres nowhere left to park & I'm going to be even more paranoid .. 8O

im in melbourne once a month for work! maybe we should catch up and discuss the damage on the fto ;)

jono your a funny k**t!

My side mirrors were smashed to bits and were left hanging by the wires when i left it in front of a mates house... (we found outt who did it... But cops didnt do sh*t). And now im paranoid everytime i have to park the car.

Wont comment on what we did for revenge.

Never park on a road with no street lights, if parking agaist a wall - make your rear face outwards (the front is more apealing to would-be-vanndals). Stay the fk away from trolley bays, 4wd and cars that dont park properly.... And if i can ill check up on the car every 2-3hours when i go out

I think she probably means her excess is $1100 (Unless that's really her insurance cost she's talking about which will be hard to believe if it really is that cheap)
