yeah, good point made on the insurence. Before you get to serioues about a perticular car make sure you ring around and find out what the insurence on it will be.

integra, mr2, fto... thats basically what i was looking at. Do some research, find the pro's and cons of whatever car, even google for reviews of it... this can all help you find whats most suited to u :thumright:

i noticed that no one mentioned skylines

You've gotta be kidding me, if you want one in good condition, def don't leave your budget at just 9k. He got extremely lucky to get it for 7.

supra, riceline and 300zx :? ... only if you've got shares in a petrol company

Heavy cars built with turbos in mind, then removed as an after thought. Plus trouble from the police as most of them have turbos. I wouldn't go for them. Not to you can afford one with a snail or two that is

Mate....... 9-10k is average for a gr/gpx (reasonably stock).... And for all the cars u can get for 9k, the fto is definately up there. My car came in preety good condition... Only thing thats fkd up is the left rear wheel bearing. Ive had mine for nearly a year and i havnt broken down once. You'll always find one thats right for you if your patient. :D

300zx look nice when you put money into it, but they look a bit aged these days

I have driven quite a few 300zx's when i worked for nissan and they are a pretty fun car to drive, though they are very loose in the back end especially when in the wet. They sound awesome with a few small mods

However, they are as ugly as dogs balls IMO

Lol, 3 years ago I got mine for 16k, look at it now.

I'll hit 100K soon, by the end of the year when I wanna sell it, hopefully I'll be able to get 10K for it.

trying to work out if this is sarcasm or not craig :P of course its not useful to you, because you have your full licence, but to us minority p plate drivers, we need high performance cars that we can't get defected on :D. this website delivers

That list actually fails a fair bit. Some of the cars placings in certain price ranges are pretty inaccurate and need updating.

Also, it lists the RX-8 as a P-Plate legal car, when it is not. The power restrictions prevent P-Platers from driving a car powered by a rotary engine with a capacity exceeding 1.2L. The RX-8 has a 1.3L Renesis engine.

Hey Guys,
I was looking through the cars guide and there are some decent R33 GTS's non turbocharged ones for sale around the 8-10k mark, does anyone know what the pro's and con's of having one of these as a first car?
Cheers
