I can get you this effect for free...
I know a guy who can run a red light and smash into your doors, making it look like you have wider front guards.

*your results may vary

Thanks Mikey - That front bumper wouldn't have been like that if you hadn't helped out months back by supplying those detailed dimensions I requested :)

The front bumper alone to modify was approx $1200 8O Although I had to really question that amount before I went ahead, I'm certainly glad I did as it looks fantastic. Just had to be prepared to fork out the big dollars to go a different route to the sea of standard kits and Veilside kits. Only downside is that it is now mistaken for a Supra on a regular basis :x

ahhhh yeh, i remember now hehe... well i've convinced myself to do something similar (with my spare GPvR front bumper instead) so we'll see how the end result goes... it'll be expensive no doubt, but it will also be very unique...

LOL, i get the Supra comments often myself! (...then again, i live out in the sticks!)

Will still look good with the vR bumper - pretty much the same as this:Image

yeah but i'll be modifying it slightly to suit my current fog lights, so in effect the end result will look very similar to yours. hopefully i'll be able to achieve the look like the one on the 2nd pic on my initial post (red with CF bonnet and custom front bumper)... i should also have a nice big area on my air dam for my intahcoolah hehehe...

I've always wondered how they got that look!

Does anyone know what good bodykits shops in Sydney that can do this type of job?

Indyfto, how much did it cost you for that custom bumper job?

as mentioned in one of his earlier replies, it was approx $1200. 8O (which is relatively cheap in my book i guess)

Yeah thats right. Just for clarification the $1200 included the DCuatro front lip (approx $400 alone) plus around $800 of manual labour blending and painting etc... For your interest I was told that it is rather difficult to blend the fibreglass lip to the oem plastic bumper but they somehow managed it. I have had it on for about 9 months now and scraped it badly here and there but its still in one piece so they must have done an alright job of holding the two bits together.

I was given two other options - both far less difficult and hence much cheaper to do: Modify the Bozz Speed front bumper to look somewhat like what I have now (easier to modify just fibreglass) or still fit the DCuatro lip but not blend it in at the seams but still cut out the middle bar section. Really depends how much you wanna spend and what specific look you want.

Good luck with yours Mikey - post some pics when your done and it'll look like the red one you posted no doubt :D Plus an intercooler would go very nicely behind that expanse of mesh...if only I had a spare $10K
