Yea $550 for labour only and if i remember correctly, Ultratune quoted me $600 for timing belt changed including parts. However, i have no idea if they just change the belt or change the whole kit. They also have warranty for it which sounds really good. Sent them a email about the parts which will be changed but the never reply.

Most probably i would DIY the spark plugs and lead. As autobahn would charge me extra 2 hrs labour just to get the plugs changed.....

At the moment im looking for some reputable workshop to do timing belt changed, so anyone have any good recommendation? In perth by the way.

The e-manage came with a ready tuned program by a Japanese guy named R. Quite happy with the results.

just want to add: theres no way a mechanic can quote just $600+ including belt kit. Generally its an at least 4hours job, so it should be around $600 worth of labour. so better ask properly 1st. The most i think hes including supply of belt only as it cost around $80 only. No way a kit will be included at this price.

ok just a update of what i've gathered.

Most of the parts cost just a little lower over here in SG as compared to aus. So most prolly i would just buy them when im back in perth.

Will be buying from Camskill for the parts. Just a question, do the prices in camskills include freight ? Their comprehensive timing belt (exclude belt tensioner) kit cost AU$234.24 with VAT.

Will be replacing most of my suspension stuff as well. Spring kit, absorber, bushes and drop links.

Aiming the Eibach Spring, KYB shocks, bushes according to bennoz's thread and standard drop links.

What other springs is available other than eibach and king springs?

I am really really very confused abt the bushes. Still, i think i will be getting the anti roll bar bush for the front and the back. i need 2 for the front and 2 for the back right ?

For the droplinks, I've read that when the ride is lowered, the droplink should be shortened as well. So a standard OE droplink wouldnt work right ? or a shorter droplink would be needed when the ride is lowered a lot.

go the king springs (reccomend)
yes shorter droplink for rear for lowered car
arb bushes are good start, if you have time and just a little extra $ get the lower control arm ones too with higher castor setting, although these are press fit so you will need to borrow a press or see local garage and ask nicely ;)

another thing with camskill prices are we don't pay the VAT. You'll notice that when you put an order through. And be prepared for the freight to shock you a little. But it gets here bloody quickly and couriered through TNT so you can track it.

hmmmmmmm ok. Hopefully the freight wont scare the sh!t out of me.

Think i would be going to supercheap to get bushes then.. save a litle on frieght cost and soon i will save enough for another basic service lol. Also wanted to get shocks from camskill but now think i shld get it from supercheap or any local shops.

Wonder if anyone is interested in reversing sensors? 4 sensors with a LCD display. The display flips up when reverse gear is engaged and goes down when not in reverse gear. The display shows the distance between your boot to the wall.

Yep, grab the bushes locally. The Super Pro bushes are made here & shipped to England, so you'd be paying for an item thats got 2 lots of freight on it. Most local Auto One / Supercheap / Bursons will be able to get them in for you.

The main ones that wear are in the front:
SPF1160 - Front lower control arm front bushes (common to all FTO models)
SPF1500 - Front lower control arm rear bushes (if you have a pre 97 model)
SPF1714 - Front lower control arm rear bushes (if you have a post 97 model)

I'd get ARB bushes as well, what model FTO is it?

Driving a 1995 FTO GPX.

The control arm bushes need to be press fit in right? Im actually thinking of fitting ARB bushes only but from your suspension thread, you mention that it will kill the other bushes faster.

Following your suspension setup but might not be getting the top mount. Personally prefer softer setup to match the bumpy road in perth haha. Do you have the part no. for droplinks as well ?

Have the following sitting here from a buy mid last year:

Alternator tensioner ($50)
Valve timing Pulley ($50)
Timing Belt Tensioner ($150)

I think Camskill sells the tensioner for about $200 from memory, so this should be substantially cheaper.
