im tempted to lose my license for the 3 months just to get them all back... there was somthing in the SMH this week about how bad NSW Demerit Point System is
I read that too, there been a bit of talk about it in the paper.
Apparently NRMA president Alan Evans is taking a reform package suggestions to the transport minister in the next 2 weeks. Includes changing the 3 points for under 15kms offence.
Was just reading about that on the smh, I seems the Road's Minister is asking the RTA to Review the scheme for the under 15kms offence. Heres the link.

I think the demerit points should be done away with... You should just get a fine ... Or have the choice between a fine or loosing demerit points...

Increase speed limits. Fine and police heavily for not pulling into the left lane when faster traffic is approaching from behind. Heavily fine and police trucks and utes for not carrying loads properly. BAN RETREADS especially on trucks
seriously in my opinion speed is not what causes accidents. Speed only effects the amount of damage. The amount of people who cant even F^&ken indicate is absolute BS. I watched a police officer going through a round about (and a bloody busy one) the other day. He failed to indicate his turns and he swapped lanes in the middle of the round about

.
AND IM FU&*EN SICK OF BEING HIT BY SHREDDED TIRES LEFT BY TRUCKS.

Some good points there ... No matter how hard you make "keep left unless overtaking" people still don't do it ... Grrr ....
I personally hate the people that put on their indicator, and they think that is their right to change lanes.. No checking blind spots or even lookin ... That has almost killed me a couple of times on the motorbike too ...

Indicators are a BIG pet hate for me, and for my friend without a car. As a pedestrian she doesn't know what the car is doing and when she could cross a road near a roundabout, and as a car driver it usually makes us needlessly wait while some fool goes a direction you had no idea about.
