DBA rotors with RB74 pads is the way to go. I have done numerous track days and hillclimbs and they are by far the best for the track. They take a little warming up for the hillclimbs. DBA rotors will warp with green stuff pads. See other debates on this forum.

Jeff, what DBA rotors are you running with the RB74? DBA Standard/Slotted/Gold or DBA 4000 or DBA 5000?
What is the diameter of the DBA rotors you have - the fronts? Are they larger or the same size as the GPX?
Anyone know the pricing for a pair of DBA 4000 front rotors off the top of their heads?
Thanks.

Slotted DBA`s. Standard not cross drilled, and the same small size as the standard GR`s. Sorry I don`t know the part number.

i went to racebrakes to get that same combo (dba slotted/rb74), but they offered me Galfer pads for the same price so I went for it... they are nice red colour too which is cool... so far they have proved to be very good under normal driving conditions, I have braked hard from high speeds a few times and it just stops the car like never before... havent had any fading yet... but time will tell how these rotors will wear... if i go on the track in may it would definitely be a good test for them..

What combination do you guys have experienced with ie. slotted/drilled with what pads?
Currently I have RB74 from Racebrakes (with 70% left) at the front with standard rotors. When I first had them fitted a year ago, there were excellent. But slowly but surely, I'm getting "hot spots" on the discs. I could get the discs skimmed/machined but that would only be a temporary fix.
So, if you could, let me know what combo works. Thanks!
NB.Did a quick look around on the forum, and the DBA Slotted/RB74 combo seemed to be the only one mentioned. Is this the choice to go for?

anyone came across any noise issues with the RB74 on stock GPX rotors?

ive had heaps of Squealing issues with the rb74's + DBA Slotted Drilled, they seem to go away when heated up, tried braking hard a couple of times to clean the disc, kinda works for a while, then the squeal comes back..

Noise issues as in squealing yes, but this was after a year of usage.
The metal compound in the RB74 is a little bit harsher than what the standard GPX rotors can handle I think. You can see "hot spot" marks appearing on the rotor surface if you do a lot of hard breaking.
