Yep, on the speaker bolts - illegal. I took the blue FTO oodles now owns through its rego check in Canberra and got an instant fail on the rear parcel shelf because the reatraints werent bolted in. Even showed them the brackets and the bolts and everything (which were in one of the little compartments in the boot at the time to prove I had them, but that wasnt good enough. They MUST be installed irrespective of whether a child is ever going to travel in the back seat or not.

haha woops i took mine out as soon as i bought the car lol

and it makes me lol as if you have a prang at all with a kid useing them it would just rip strait out of the back shelf as it is so thin

i've booked marked this thread in case i ever need a to import another FTO or car... btw just saw a red ralliart lancer sportback in redfern... drools...
