Hey. Just got back from OS yesterdy and thought I'd have a look at this again today. Just went and bought a new battery and fitted it. The motor cranks now but still will not start. The lights come on but the windows & central locking don't work. The mechanic I got the battery off thinks it will be the alarm which doesn't do anything when I press the key fob any more. What do you guys think?

I would certainly say its alarm immobilser, change batt in remote and see how you go

nice double post lol
hey man hope you had a good time.
My first guess would be the alarm. Probably fuel cut. But start by checking all the fuses and replacing the battery in the alarm remote. you could even pull of the fuel line and see if it is pumping fuel and if all else checks out fine then check spark.

Thanks guys. Trip was awesome. Very cold though and I've put on a few kg's, only goes to show that I had good time guess! Sorry about the duble post, using the PS3 and got an error when I posted.
Is it worth replacing the batt in the key fob? The light comIes on on the fob when I press the button. Where is the fuel line that I can check? I'll check all the fuses too as it's strange that the windows and central locking are not working. Cheers.

I got my car towed this morning by my mechanic and he has replaced the blown fuses so now the alarm, windows and locks work, but the car still won't start. He thinks that the computer has been blown too. This was due to me crossing the leads when I tried to jump it off my GF's car last time. I told him about the little black box near the radiator as mentioned earilier in this thread so he's going to send that and my computer off to get checked out. I should hear back by tomorrow.

yeah frying the ecu is a definite possibility, but i would be checking fuel, spark and starting off the starter before i even touched the ecu.

hey josh its brent im almost 100% sure u just got a flat battery cause u said u have just been listening to the stereo (two subbies) and not driving it, the battery is not charging cause your not driving it so your just draining the battery, chuck a jumper pack on it or get someone with jumper leads to start it up then get your dad do take it for a little drive to charge it up.

old thread but im havin the problem at the moment, havent start the car for 2 weeks due to master and slave cylinder fuked and not car wont start, alarm doesnt work on the car but on my remote it still says unlock and lock, dask light is still on but very dimm, parker light still turns on and so does hazard but doesnt show on the dash just outside. i tried jump start it...but i charged for like 15mins and try to start it, it doesnt even make the click noise, maybe the jump cables old and didnt charge properly, but i will try tonight and see what happens, but do you guys have any other ideas it might be?
