If I were you id be looking at a 97 or later model. Then rust is not an issue.
Totally agree

i wouldn't look at turboing it at all, being p plater, and massive insurance issues etc, i'd find other ways to get a bit more horsepower out of the car. i've seen chips, and air filters, and exhaust kits, and port polishing give the car a little bit extra, not as much as a turbo, but enough to make a bit of a difference.

is rust an issue in all pre 97 fto's? thanks mitsubishi for potentially wrecking a great car with a bloody defective glue

what does the "aero" mean on the end of the GPvR, i'd really be looking at an fto in passion red...favourite colour and all :) , and i like the look at the 5 speed tip on it as well, as opposed to the 4 speed tip of the GPX. also the airbag might be a good idea as well...

okay, i've been converted to looking for a GPvR AERO instead of the GPX even before i find out waht aero means :D

wait...wtf is a front spoiler?!?!?!

and by not turboing it at all i mean never turboing. i've seen insurance quotes for people with turbos in their cars, through the roof, so i'm not doing that :D
