heating core leaking!!!

hey, was just wondering the $800 that you quoted from Nandi was tt inclusive of labour and parts??

Send to kamikaze which says my heating core is leaking beneath my dashboard and he's asking for 2 grand to get it repaired.. i'm in melbourne... can someone help me with alternatives?

$800 was inclusive, although I suspect it was going to be a secondhand part.

You can save yourself a lot of money by sourcing the part yourself. Dstocks on this board was very helpful to me in this regard. I tested it (and flushed it) with a garden hose. When I have time, I'm going to try these instructions:

If I can't complete it, Lee (my regular mechanic) said he will fit it for $300-$400.

LOL! I thought of that ... Lee sounded like he might have less on at the moment. I'd still expect to lose it for a week though.

i don't mind the time. i've put the fto at kamikaze for weeks and weeks before!! lol... but yeah... shld i bring the fto to the mechanic to let him check before buying the part from dstocks?
