Really? I always crank around by hand first to double check all cams and crank markings line up........
Of course belt is still on at this stage ;)

You friggan NOOB, of course with the belt on :roll: . You dont move the engine in the slightest with the belt off

FTO timing belts = 0
Mitsi timiing belts = 1
Nissan timing belts = 6 - 10

Would really appreciate it if you could post pictures of the timing belt change.

Even better...DIY timing belt guide :P

...pretty sure there are many members out there due for a major service soon and a DIY guide would assist heaps & save $$$!

no his is a GR, actually before he painted mine, it was exactly the same as mine, GR, auto, 94, red (but he had more scratches on his lol)

and whats with the massive difference in prices for the parts? are there any difference or is it just mark up 8O ?

Yang i would also like to know what belt is for the GR.

So basically your looking at
Timing belt (gates t987mivec) (gr ????)
1 X timing belt tensioner pulley
1 X timing belt idler pulley
1 x water pump

Now aparently theres only only two pulleys but in every pic i have found there is three. I would really like to confirm this..... anyone?

Then theres also the p/s and a/c belt but only need to replace if necessary (cracked and sh*t).

Now if you are doing, i would highly recommending replacing the seals as well.

Simon, about the water pump...are the kempy ones available in aus? like is there store that sells them or does it have to be ordered directly from NZ and how much? 120aud?

Ive contacted them via their contact form but no reply as of yet, they are usually pretty busy apparently but ill call them on Monday if i dont get reply

Its all good man. I have also contacted them via the form. I wonder if there is enough members for a group buy on the kempy's water pump.
