it's all personal preference.. some people actually like VS front bars FFS ... each to their own..

hmm, nah they still are
looks too try-hardish
The Ts factory / stock front bar with blended DC lip are the best looking aftermarket kits IMO..

ya true, I have a full dc kit remember, so no use trying to convince me cos I'm already convinced
I actually like the whole gaping mouth thing, I'd rather just change bars than blend the dc lip on cos no mouth

My bad, I really have to start writing posts in full.
When I first said not everybody likes the facelift, was speaking for myself as in I'd get the pre facelift and throw a DC lip on it, my bad didn't say it right

seems everyones got there own opinions on the way an FTO looks good! Once i get a car over here (finally) wanna just go totally custom to make it something different..
Some ppl workin at a perforance shop in town made comment that apparently FTO's are (hairdressers) cars or somecrap do u guys get that sometimes too??

Well they're a bunch of idiots if they told you that. Performance shops should respect and appreciate car enthusiasts and understand more than anybody else how people like what they like and are willing to spend a lot of time and effort to turn it into something unique to them.
Those guys are idiots, don't listen to them. Not everybody is a sterotype without any taste of their own and just go for common cars that everybody likes to impress everybody around them, without giving a sh*t about personal preference.

They need to respect the cars for what they are. They're fine even stock out of the factory, they need to stop living life by the quarter mile and respect people who have passion for the cars for what they are. Not every car has to be 0-100 in 5 seconds to be respected

Honestly though, just because a car isn't turbo'ed doesn't mean it has to be made fun of. Think about it, FTOs came out in '94. There wasn't any other cars under the 100k bracket at that point in time that handled or went as quick as the FTO or looked anywhere near as good.
You can't tell me this isn't enough to prove the FTO isn't a decent car?
All I'm saying is that FTOs are nothing to scoff at, it was well beyond anything else released at that time in the looks and power department (NA mind you). People compare them now to cars that are 10 years younger and are turbo'ed. We don't have to drive turbo's to prove a point.
Get my poin? I know what you mean about the whole power thing but i'm looking at it from a different perspective here.

But those f^&k sticks out there that say our cars are a girls car.
Before i got my car painted i thought i would go test drive a supra (turbo) that had full kit on it, to see whether i should waste my time modding my FTO or just buy a already fast car. When i spoke to the SALES guy and i use that term very loosely, he says to me
"so do you have a trade in".
I replied "yeah i got a FTO".
The smart ass mother fu&*er, with a smile on his face says "Oh yeah my wife, would love that car, i can see why you want to move to a more manlier vehicle".
"F^&ken WHAT"
Needless to say im glad he said that to me, cause now i have no intention of ever selling my FTO
PS the supra handled like a big piece of sh*t and wasnt even that quick
