You're saying that in an FTO he's more likely to get into trouble than, say, a standard commonwhore.
But then you're saying that the sensation of speed is greater in an FTO at same speeds.
Hence, in an FTO he isn't going to need to go as fast to get his kicks, and being so low to the ground he'll appreciate a hell of a lot more just how quickly he is travelling.
Whereas in something higher up, he's just as likely to try and take bends at 80km/h just because it doesn't feel as fast.[/i]
Mate you misunderstood my original point. I do not mean that in an FTO he is more likely to get into trouble, in fact I would argue he is safer in an FTO than a standard commodore, especially if he gets into driver courses with it which most enthusiasts I talk to all seem to either do or want to do.
I was just trying to say that there could be other meanings behind his message that had nothing to do with driving dangerously or too fast.
I'm am also saying that this sensation of speed different seems to depend on the person, most people feel it others don't. Maybe I do becuse I only get in a higher car about 3 times a year. I don't know, as I said above I was just trying to give an explanation of would the message may have meant, because I didn't read into it what some of the other seemed to. That is all I was trying to say.

its ok, i understood what you meant, like going to race the karts. he's giving me the sh*ts with wanting all this inspection sh*t chassis alignment system crap (1st yr apprentice for Audi

).
His mech mate reckons it's been in a crash, despite it having a grade 4 import report!
think i might just move on to the next potential buyer, that understands what he's looking at.
"whats an FTO?"

is it really that important WHO the car goes to ? let them do what they want with it....after all, its the money you want, and the car they want.
I had this teacher who had a lot of money...and to prove a point he bought a hummer h3 (new ones) just to go into bushes and destroy it....what im trying to say is...who cares what he does with the car...or if he doesnt appreciate it...the fact is you want the money and he wants the car...nothing else to it...
sorry if im coming off aggressive, just trying to help you make the right decision.

i meant that he's kinda giving me the sh*ts coz of stuff like previously mentioned popping up out of nowhere, and little excuses to try and bring my price down without asking, like a silent one way negotiation.
i couldnt care less who it goes to now, i'm over that. i offered him to take it for a drive today while he was on his lunch break, and he was too scared, which tells me he respects it
i just need the dosh to pay for the new car now!

Rallymad - agree completely. Just presenting the alternative viewpoint
Manofwood - $12k is not a lot, but the value of a car is only ever and will only ever be what the market is prepared to pay for it.
So if you have other buyers who will come through with significantly more money, hold out.
If you're holding out purely because he's a smartass (and realistically you know that you can't get significantly more money elsewhere) then it might be time to do the deed and move on?

If the FTO was a RWD then it might have been. As its not, it isn't.
Better he understeers forward in the wet rather than spins the hell out and hits a tree sideways.
