Yeah read that, good theory I guess after thinking about it for a while I realised that you can't really test a LSD when jacked up because there is no load on it?
Thanks Richard, just a little confused on reading that table.
does TCL stand for traction control? My Gearbox number on that table tells me I have LSD and TCL, but I know I don't have traction control.
But then I just found a listing further down that says GP's don't have either? Where would I fund the part number? On the GB I mean.

Didnt wnat to start a new topic but I realy need some questions answered.
My car is currently getting a non LSD equipped manual gearbox. Before it went in to get the conversion it had the 5 speed tip with LSD. My first question is:
1. is the LSD attached to the gearbox?
and the second question is
2. if question one is yes, can the LSD be taken off the tip gearbox and attached to the manual gearbox?
If neither of these questions make sense my third question is:
3. where is the LSD on the version Rs?

hey mate the lsd is inside the gearbox mate. So when you take the auto out so will the lsd and I am sure u can't put the lsd from the auto into the manual. Can't be to sure about that but.

I would be weary of swapping it in, even if it fits. The 4 speed tips in the pre facelift and the 5 speed manuals have different splines on the axles/diff
If you were able to swap in the LSD, ensure you use the AT axles etc too

Agreed ^^
Plus you'll need to have the final drive swapped over from the Manual non LSD centre.
Stevo, whats your DE3A xxxxx number?

This might sound a little stupid but where do you find the gearbox number? do you have to hoist the car up?

Ill find out when I get home from uni. The number is somewhere amongst the papers I have.
I dont think ill be able to have my lsd anyway. Besides the cost of the conversion is already killing me. Plus it goes in for rotors, pads on Thursday
