The guys paid £175 UK for the kit and are very impressed.

Ive just spoke to Martin, he did get it on the group buy with Magic & Kristan.

This is what he said,

It was this one http://www.mwhile89.btinternet.co.uk/ft ... s/hud1.jpg we got....I think it was about £175 as bulk buy...Stu Mutch fitted it for me as he had one already, seemed easy enough.

Ace gadget and VERY useful...I never look at my dash needles etc...it tells me revs/speed and lights pop up for preset speed ie. 80 on mine and redline too. it also does trip mileage and can be used for 1/4 mile sprints

t's like being in an F16 with the HUD, VAFC and Snooper

MUST HAVE HUD!!!

Importscene.com.au are selling it for $850 I think, so $500 sounds alright to me.

ok i managed to get in touch with someone who can import these babies into the country so expressions of interest are now taken from anybody who wants one fitted in their car.

Based on current exchange rates, the cost should be no more than $600 but this is yet to be confirmed (could be even much cheaper). I am waiting for prices and estimated delivery but for now if you want HUD for your car, sign up your interest!

What about "fly by wire"?

Would this even be legal?

You could then have your HUD and joystick, the only things missing would be the stinger missiles and afterburners (although I did see a picture of an FTO with flames coming out the exhaust).

I feel the need, the need for speed!

engine starter buttons mounted on the gearknob (with a cover that you can flick open ala McLaren SLR style) :D

I thought the switch on the console armed / activated the weapon, then there were two seperate buttons on the joystick, one for the index finger and one for the thumb. One of these was guns and one was missles. Perhaps it also varies between different fighters?
