He got his MR2 for around 2yrs now. Silverfish is the new owner of his ride, and he had it for a while too.

yeah i barely log on these days, just got the message from Barfy requesting the specs of the sub.
First of all, the condition are the subs are excellent. I never blew the subs and when I sent to barfy I spent $120 in postage to bubble wrap the thing and have it couriered without being on rallies that mite damage the subs. I took great care of that system and a lot of the fto old timers could vouch for me on that. And I will state again, that this setup is the only 3 X 12" sub setup in an FTO in Australia, UK and Japan. Ive done searches to see if anyone has done this and it still yet to be done.

And no theres no perspex on it. Theres no need for it, the way its been designed it looks like the subs are built in into the floor of the boot.

I cant remember the model number, however i do know that each sub can handle 200wrms. This mite not seem like a lot however there is 3 of them which combines for 600wrms plus the design of the box will give u maximum output and exceptional sound quality. I beat systems that were pumping over 1000wrms into their setup.
The other thing is, the more power yr subs can handle, the bigger and more expensive amp u need to buy to power them.

Hope this helps, and MR2s f**ken RULE!!!!!

thanks for that FTOluv. and i know mr2s rule, i was going to get one before the fto but i couldn't be bothered to wait that long to find a mr2 that was in decent con (not thrashed)

lol i thought they were 600RMS each, big difference lol. oh well u do have a point though, cheaper amp/s. um.. just a few questions.

1. what amp/s did u use for your set up?
2. did u need to do anything about your battery (i.e. was the stock battery enough to power them)? (this is the most important question)

and one important question to Barfy:
so u gonna take $450 inc postage for them?

and just to make sure i think i'll PM u 2 :D

the amp i used was a Vipers top of the range 5 channel amp. I was using the mono side of the amp which gave out exactly 600wrms as well. So it was matched up exactly to the subs. I didnt over power the subs or anything. Trust me, with that much bass u HAVE to sound deaden yr boot lid and reinforce yr parcel shelf or u will get a lot of rattles when u crank it.

U can run the stock battery but it will die quite quickly. Its best to upgrade yr battery. This will insure u will never run into power problems. U dont need a capacitor just a battery upgrade and make sure u buy a decent size fuse as well.

Hope this answers yr questions.
Cheers
