My Car is Untouchable to be honest. lol :D
WOW!!! All those things WOW!!!! - Sorry - yes, forgive me for the sarcasm.

1 - ICE = In Car Entertainment (so unless you really like listening to your alarm....)

2- Most of those are standard features - most of the good alarms offer them as standard, as well as things like glass break sensor, tamper sensor, anti-hijack (locks the doors when you start the car), leveller sensor - in case someone tries to jack it up to take your wheels

Unfortunately - NO alarm is proof against professionals - they only deter the stupid kid joyriders.

I know one alarm (Rhino from memory) that gives you a pager that alerts you when your car alarm is going off - too bad if you're parked on the ground floor of the carpark while you're having lunch on the 5th - but at least you will know not to go looking for you car as it'll be long gone.

I agree with Samson - it's fantastic that you are so enthusiastic - but you are preaching to the already converted - most of us have had our FTO's for a long time - so we know all the stuff that you are trying to teach us.

Good luck and hope nobody steals it

Cheers

Really? Untouchable? I had the same STANDARD alarm on my ex FTO, except i've got 2x extra internal ultra sonic sensor and extra piezo in it. Does that make my ex FTO a bullet proof then?

Give me your address and i see you in few days later in Victoria, where u can pick up the left over parts of your FTO.

ok I'll give u an example why. (they're just exaggerated examples lol so dont take it TOO seriously, but the concept is the same)

I make a post saying:

Hey guys I bought a brand new fuel cap! It's silver in colour can you believe it? SO much better than the original colour, it's got a picture of a mitsubishi logo and EVERYTHING damn my fto looks hot.!!!!! WOW!!!

]Sorry if that's a lame example lol but please notice that almost everybody by now has an alarm, and i think a lot of people have spent more than double what you have spent.

Telling us what you've done is a different thing from telling everybody assuming nobody has had an alarm in their FTO ever. :P

I think its quite sad that the ones that are pretty much attacking the newbie are long standing members of this club.

I thought the forum and specially the gibberish corner was to post pretty much anything.

Shame on anyone thats trying to shut this young guy down for being happy about his car and accessory purchase.

Lets not turn FTO Australia into a pretentious mob that only accepts posters that do and write only what certain members accept.

If someone wants to brag about how good their last purchase is, let them and don't shut them down, because after all no one forced you to read his post...

Now i hope everyone doesn't take this personal and have a great x mass

As a member already pointed out. This was originally posted in the I.C.E section, it since then moved to the most appropriate section. I understand not everyone follow every post, so thats where you got confuse from.

I think most of us have a very high tolerant level, and we know members can get very excited when they first got the FTO, but for someone keep posting their stock ride and still pretend to be some hot shot.

After 160+ posts within a month time, I guess more then most can take, especially numious hints had already been given.

hey for a daewoo driver a stock FTO is a hot shot....

so what you are saying is that for someone to brag about their ride they need to go and spend hundreds or maybe thousands of dollars to have the privilege to brag??
well then i guess only the ones that have the cash should be part of this forum.... others stand in your little corners and weep...

I take the point about repetitive posts and post whoring which some members have taken it to an art form.

To be honest i might have jumped the gun when i saw all the post telling this young guy to shup up about his ride...

Maybe i was just playing robin hood. :D

When I had quicktrack on my WRX, one of the instillers of my head unit said to me ‘pro’s car take the can in 5 min flat…..

So doesn’t matter how good the alarm is, if they want to take the car bad enough they will take it……………..

Like i said there is a different between proud of their ride, and keep telling everyone his/her stock ride is better then everyone else.

For those who can't tell the different for the above, there is another forum called Hot4, where lots of 13-18 like to be keyboard warrior and talk tough with 14" hub caps
