I have emailed Coffs Harbour Tourism about the chance of floods while we are there and this is what they said.

"Coffs Harbour has not got a flood warning at the moment & it is not raining that heavy constantly. There is not much rain predicted for the coming days so I think we should be ok for the time being."

Sounds good to me!

Sounding good :D
I will have a look to see what roads if any are being affected, and try to get the info on a map.

Thanks Aza, that'd be great. I'll run Trapster if you can run the GPS. I can't do both unfortunately.

Well at this point we are looking good. There is no sign of roads beeing closed at this point.
But I will keep looking for more info.

edit:-
Flood warnings are current for the Richmond, Wilson, Clarence, Bellinger and Hastings Rivers and further wet weather is expected across the region.

The Pacific Highway is closed at South Grafton due to flooding.

All vehicles, including B-Doubles are being diverted via Centenary Drive. The RTA is continuing to monitor the situation, and further closures may be necessary.

The Pacific Highway has reopened at Shark Creek after being closed for two hours to allow several hundred head of cattle to be moved from low lying flood-prone areas.

The New England Highway is closed north and south of Tenterfield, between the Queensland border and Glen Innes.

The Bruxner Highway is closed in both directions between Tenterfield and Casino, and west of Tenterfield.

The Gwydir Highway is closed in both directions between Grafton and Glen Innes.

Motorists travelling north on the New England Highway are advised to divert to the Pacific Highway by using either Waterfall Way at Bellingen or the Oxley Highway from Bendemeer, rejoining the Pacific Highway at Wauchope. The Oxley Highway detour is not suitable for B Doubles.

Due to the adverse weather conditions and localised flooding in the northern region of NSW, motorists are advised to avoid all non-essential travel.

For more information visit www.livetrafficnsw.com.au or contact the RTA’s Traffic Information Line on 132 701.

This is still on.

Simon won't be able to make it. He is still flooded in. His house is fine and the last time I spoke to him he still had power. He's been told it might take a week before the roads are opened again.

I've spoken to the motel to let them know that we will be 2 people down. I also said that we are coming from Sydney and asked if they had heard of any issues of people getting to Coffs and they said they hadn't and we'll be fine.

Still meeting at 6.30am @ Olympic Park. Around corner of Australia Ave and Grand Parade.
