That spot on the front bumper is really starting to annoy me. think I might suck it up and get it fixed professionally.

Haha, yeah. It only just fits in the rear bumper recess, and even then it bows a tiny bit.

If the rear right hand side of my car is slightly higher than the left, what would that indicate? :|

Previous owner bent the sides of the rear plates to make them fit nicer. SA style

It hadn't occurred to me to actually look in the engine bay to see if anything was amiss. :facepalm2: Mostly because I don't really know what bugger all is in there and how to tell if it isn't working properly. But I did spot this, and I have a hunch that it's the cause of the odd scraping noise. Would others concur?

Rather. Fortunately Tim has one spare! This one just has to hold out till sunday. Hopefully this solves the issue.

Did it make a noise almost like the tyre scrubbing the arch liner? Usually you can hear it around 2000 rpm?

Nah once the broken rib fucked off and stopped flapping around it didn't even make a noise and worked like a normal belt...

Hmmm, well. I guess I'll see if a new belt makes any difference, if not I guess I still have to find the source. This better not turn out into an Astron-esque wild goose chase.
