Simon wasn't in work today so I hope he was at home still fixing the locks as he didn't do it on Saturday.

Ok, I've spoken to Simon and it's not looking good. His area is very flooded at the moment and it's only getting worse. He wasn't able to get to work yesterday as the roads were closed. His nearest town is about to be evacuated. He has no radio,tv or internet at home so is relying on text messages from family to let him know what's going on. He was just about to call the police after I spoke to him to find out if he needs to evacuate.

His house is safe as it's elevated and not near water, it only gets bad when he drives about 10 minutes down the road. Last night the water was at chest height he said.

He will come to Coffs if the rain eases and the water subsides. He may be a day or so late. It's all up to the gods at the moment.

I've checked the weather and it looks like it might be a wet trip. I've got a poker set, can any one else bring indoor entertainment?

It looks like it will be nice on saturday so that's our chance to hit the jetskis. As for the days when there is little rain we can hit the go kart track and play with the dolphins. Plus there is the fair, the dogem cars are always under cover :-)

Makes an ofering to the weather gods so they can help Simon get out for this.

Rain and gokarts = F****** fun
jetskis are still fun in the wet but better when the sun is out.

Has anyone got music and speakers they can bring? Just in case we get trapped in doors.

Yeah, go karts in the wet are wicked fun, just bring a change of clothes. They probably wouldn't let you jetski in the rain, and it'd hurt anyway

Good luck John.

Is everyone still keen to have a go at getting up there? I've tried to check weather warnings but it's really hard to tell if we are going to run into any issues with flooded roads on the way.
