I am glad you are getting some progress at last mate. Get onto them and be harsh about a work log though.

What hourly rate are they charging you?

Please don't get screwed over fella...

Good luck :)

well i got all the centre console back toghter today.
i replaced a inner cv boot also damn they are messy to change haha. i replaced all the turbo lines with fuel line pipe then also changed the vaccum lines from the rear wastegate.
They didnt get time to cut the hole in the firewall for mr so i can put the clutch pedal in.
I ordered the fuel pump from england that ben gave me the link to.
i also made up the clutch line from the master cyclinder to the slave cylinder.

How long does it take to cut a hole in the firewall? 8O

I thought you weren't going to need to do any mods to the firewall with the new manifold Ben got made for you? or did you run across some unforeseen drama's?

Shouldn't stop you from mounting the clutch pedal thou mate ;)

Its the clutch slave cylinder that goes in through the hole, not the pedal coming out of it.

he is doing a manual conversion as well, hence the driling of the firewall

ben mate you have to cut the hole in the firewall and also 2 holes either side of the hole as the master cylinder bolts onto these 2 bolts mate.

Yes the motor is finally in the car yay. All I can say is bloody hell it is a tight fit even with the new rear manfiold. The turbo sits nicely in with all the metal brake lines.
I will have pics when I gt home

Nice work mate,

Must be a relief to see it coming together. Did you go with a single turbo or a twin?

Nice work mate, but that looks very close to the firewall. Are you sure there won't be fouling when the engine rocks?

thanks micheal mate.

well ftoeveloution mate i damn well hope not as it is the same manifold as bens mounted in the same spot

it was a very tight fit to get the whole motor in with the gearbox attached. i am happy it is in. they are going to see if the turbo is ok were it is sitting.

i am sending it to the exhaust shop next door monday for the y pipe to be made then get it back and start hooking all the lines and pipes back up.;

Good stuff!

Yeah its still a tight fit regardless. Apparently they made some minor bends into the pipes behind the rear turbo on mine. Nothing major, just pryed them back a bit.

np mate .. btw .. 'tis looking good

'tis a shame it's taken them this long to get to this stage, but I assume they've got all the piping work sorted & it should be easy enough to whack everything together now?
