Nah. It had those plastic bump things (designed for that purpose I suspect). Didn't think about getting the rego, was too annoyed haha.kiz wrote:Any damage, get the rego?bjk wrote:Had someone reverse into me. WHILE I WAS IN THE CAR. Yea but even they can leave marks on your paint. Stupid people need to take more car. Adelaide drivers are the thing I hate most about Adelaide

True. I don't know how (scrap that, being old and senile is one) someone can just reverse without looking backward in seemingly any fashion, hit something and not notice.kiz wrote:Yea but even they can leave marks on your paint. This is just proof that you are safer moving than standing still. Ergo, the faster you go, the safer you are.

My key is unstuck.
thanks to Tim (vipfto) for that, and showing me how to change my oil. Still need to learn how to do the filter at the same time, but that can wait.
Only downside is I still have to take apart my consoles because I neglected to plug the head unit back in when I took everything off the first time. And I think I need to fiddle with the wire thing again now that its been loosened from the ignition switch.

It's not hard, unscrew the old one, oil the rubber seal up on the new one and on it goesbjk wrote:My key is unstuck.thanks to Tim (vipfto) for that, and showing me how to change my oil. Still need to learn how to do the filter at the same time, but that can wait.

Yeah, it's basically fine, but the button on the shifter isn't depressing quite all the way until it's in drive. I'm fairly certain what the culprit is, just need to readjust that little piece that interacts with the shifter bits and I don't know the actual descriptions for any of these.
But importantly I feel better about leaving my car parked places.

Bendix Ultimate pads arrived from Shane today.
Tape on the box was very firm.
Rotors probably coming in the next few weeks.

Think I've found my wheels. Subject to change of mind, haha. XXR 530 17x8.25 +25. Would probably run a 225/40. Struggling to decide between the flat black and gold...

After bending one rim on the 323 beyond repair on a curb after running a yellow light around a mild corner, and making another have a slow leak, I'm much more careful driving near edges these days.dstocks wrote:They are going to be nasty for gutter rash. Look nice though

I've done a couple p'shops with gold and I kinda like it. The colour 'pops' really nicely, but I liked the SSR type F gold more than these, which are slightly brighter in the sunlight. I think I'll probably stick with the black, it's not quite as unique, but it looks real mint in shots like these (ignore the car, lol). Yeah, guards will probably need rolling.vipfto wrote:Nice go black gold prob wont suit silver? Not sure bout offset may need gaurds rolled but they look good

With a +25 offest, you'll probably get a 235 on them to fitbjk wrote:Think I've found my wheels. Subject to change of mind, haha. XXR 530 17x8.25 +25. Would probably run a 225/40. Struggling to decide between the flat black and gold...

You reckon? I remember someone telling me that too vertical a sidewall was not a good thing? I could be mistaking it for something else.Bennoz wrote:With a +25 offest, you'll probably get a 235 on them to fitGive you some protect against gutter rash anyways.

Re: BJK's '95 GPX
235 x 40 x 18 on an 8" rim, with essentially a +23 offset on the rear (38+ rim with 15mm spacer) and an 18+ offset on the front (38+ rim with 20mm spacer)bjk wrote:You reckon? Re: BJK's '95 GPX
I guess it depends on the tyre brand as well? I'd be a quarter of an inch wider, but those look pretty good.
