New engine is running fine...

I have some concerns about the GT-28 60R holding up to huge boost though...

Has been finally booked in for the tune on monday... will see how she goes...

Righto... ended up delaying the tune to get some more mods (3" high flow exhaust)...

Been at the tuners for close to 2 weeks now.. he has been fixing the work that the dodgy arse mechanic on the coast did...

-Re Running new fuel Lines
- Fitting a new RR FPR
- Relocating Fuel Filter
- a lot of heat shielding
- Adjusting cam timing
- Re wiring away from the Turbo...

And now it appears as though the front intake cam gear is warped... Probably from where RACQ tightened it when it came loose...

Going to JnR to pick up my spare Cam Gears over the weekend as well as hoping to find a new timing belt...

Will drop that to my tuner on monday and tuning will continue...

When the cam gear starting knocking, it was sitting at 200hp atw... its getting there....

Will let you guys know more next week.

that wouldn't be JnR by any chance would it.

they're building my engine, don't tell me now that they're dodgy.

Nah man... JnR are the best....

Just picked up my Cam Gears and new Timing belt from him and delivered it to my tuner...

He said at one point the turbo spiked at 18psi and shot out a brief 250hp.... so we'll see tomorrow what she pulls...

over 270hp = me happy... considering that turbo max's at 320hp (think at fly)

250 hp is some big power

righto...

After weeks and weeks of drama... and not to mention a few thousand dollars, my car is fixed again... She was stripping timing belts.. apparantly a "workshop" that built the engine (Will rename nameless untill the matter is sorted out with them) didnt tighten a backing plate enough or something and that was causing all the grief.. My Tuner is writing a written report for me to send them, and considering the amount of cash and other business i have thrown their way, i certainly hope they come to the party with compensating me for their fk ups.. worst case scenario, my tuner said he would happily go to court for it. which will be an option that i hope it does not come to...

dont ask anymore about it for a week or so untill its sorted...

anyway, i'll be picking it up this afternoon... dont know about power, but my tuner said it was constantly spinning the whole way through 1st 2nd and 3rd... so it sounds like i'll have my hands full...

Need to borrow a bonnet and couple of tyres to get some defects cleared and she'll be right...

Will post up a vid or something tonight...

But this looks to be nearing the end of this thread...

righto... got it back.. but because its only just been fixed my tuner wants me to thrash it a bit and bring it back on tuesday for the rest of the boost (on 6psi for now)...

i dont know what he did but on 6psi it is insane... i ran 9psi before and now 6 feels crazier than ever...

traction is an issue though... will do up a vid today.... you need to hear this...

He's a NOS specialist... he's currently throwing together a 350hp shot for me for GC autosalon...
