Putting together some new gauges...
Found these from the EL Gauge post here about a supplier who makes these for early Lancers (and FTO's)... Has been pretty hard to find something this quality for the older cars...
I use to have a set of dials from PCP (Pro Car Parts) which were better priced as they were in the states for another car.
But anyway ... Here they are...
May try and wire them in this weekend if time permits...

I think about $90EUR..
Had to have them made, because he didn't have em for my specific needs..
FTO ones were cheaper.. I think..
Link above in other post..

Wow! Looks mint. Were the gauges hard to get in? (Were they cut to size neatly? Did u have to take the needles off)

Thanks man ...
Q.Were the gauges hard to get in?
A.Very easy. I am sh*t when it comes to this fiddly stuff. So if I can do it, anyone can.
Q.Were they cut to size neatly?
A.Perfect. Exact fit. Had to use the plastic needle holder from the original gauges though. Couldn't get it to pop out, so cut it out, and placed behind new gauges. Was one at the bottom of Revs, and Fuel.
Q.Did u have to take the needles off
A.Yes on this one as well. But easy way to get them off (apart from buying them dinner and telling them you love them), id to get 2 spoons. 1 top, 1 bottom, and lever off.
Quality of these things is pretty good. I was a little disappointed with how the wires were soldered in though. It was OK, but could see it causing a bit of pain in the long term. So dumped a bit more solder on there.
I hate having to wire sh*t up, and it was literally just 2 wires from the inverter. So just tapped into to where the radio is meant to be, as I have nothing there. And grounded ... Bang 5 minute job and done...
The hardest part was adjusting the gauges to the right levels when everything was back on. But went for a drive with the cluster installed, and no glass covering things, and popped the needles back on while driving... Using GPS to guestimate speed... I may actually send it to a professional and have it all calibrated anyway .. Now that I have wheels and tyres sorted...

This was how off I was with some of the gauges when I first put it in ..
Only thing that was pretty much spot on was speed... lol.. Fuel shoulda been up just a little, and temp should have been around the same as the fuel .. So just below the 1/4 mark ..
And that was with me being really careful when taking the needles off...

yeah, that's what I was worried about lol so you managed to shove the needle back in the right position while driving and watching the gps speed
