Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
kudos to getting rid of that V spoiler, but i think spoilerless does not suit this car...
a EVO X spoiler would look slicker than penis butter...
IMO
body colour "skin" on the outside, black on the inside... yummy!

Thanks Bennoz, if you weren't some 300km away I would probably take you up on that offerBennoz wrote:It was so long ago mate, I can barely remember. I don't seem to remember it making any difference on take off, once I got going & the rpms were up it did though.spetz wrote:Bennoz I forgot to ask before about the lightweight flywheel,
Was it different launching the car? Both in normal driving situations and drag racing.
And, was it harder to spin the wheels, or did the lightweight flywheel make it feel like the car had more traction?
But for $300 odd bucks for the flywheel, how badly wrong can you go? I'll even put one in for ya for 3 cases of beer!

Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
and you thought there was nothing else mechanically to do to your car!
Heres hoping it just keeps going and going till you get a 0.1sec 1/4 mile car

Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
Just been for a test drive, much better feel to the pedal, much more responsive for less effort. Will give a full report once I've driven it to & from work for a few days.

Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
Did you have to disconnect any of the brake lines to do it?
How long did it take to swap em over?
I'm wondering if this might be doable trackside during a break at a WP track day.

Wouldn't want to do it trackside.
Had to disconnect both lines from the master to do it & bleed all 4 corners.

Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
interesting the difference in size really.
I would have thought the difference for abs would have come down to the abs actuator pump (*secondary pump)

Bugger
But you reckon there was an immediate improvement in pedal feel?
Harder pedal with less travel?
Do you feel you need to apply more pedal force for the same breaking force?
Do you have the 1" master cylinder already?

Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
Yeah pedal feel is much better. Same amount of travel, less effort required. Yes, already have the 1" bore MC.
Had some aerosols of R71 Passion Red up to test on the new boot hinges, come up pretty good I reckon!
That's 2 coats of primer first, then 2 coats of red.

Re: Bennoz 6A13 Conversion
Nah mate, I fit those little shocks just alongside the standard bonnet hinge. These ^^^ are for the new wingless boot.
