My turn? I must've missed something. :lol:

I suppose it depends when Tim is joining us too.

I really like this idea too! It'd be wicked to get a line of us down Hindley.

Sightseeing is the go IMO. :3

Ahh, I swear this is the best forum. Also, fak, how much petrol do you go through Kiz? :lol: I only use like a quarter tank on a hard run. But if lengthy drive is the go, I'll post up a route I thought about taking with a friend.

by sightseeing do you mean stopping or looking? Although we should definitely pause at places to take pics!

In Tim's case I can get that, yeah. :lol: Or if you're redlining it after every corner. Bear in mind petrol is more expensive around hills way too.

Less troublesome than them getting stuck in the ignition I reckon!

Anyway, this is the gist of a route I was thinking of: http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Vista ... sz=15&z=12

Lower North East/Torrens-Valley is busier due to being a main road, but it's nicely surfaced a lot of the way, and it has some good spots for photo ops! Gorge has a bit of altitude variation, tighter bends closer to the city, but otherwise fairly wide. Montacute is a really, really nicely surfaced stint 95% of the way; which will be a good comparison to Adelaide-Lobethal rd, which is surfaced pretty average but is a hell of a lot of fun.

Up for suggestions as to where we go once we get to Lobethal. We can probably take a break there (both the cars and ourselves!). The way down is (to me anyway) slightly more fun than the way up, so we can double back to head towards the city again. An idea though, if we wanted to divert off and head onto the freeway for a bit. Could get some footage in the Heysen Tunnels for something different.

Then we can cruise Glen Osmond up to the CBD?

Oh I wasn't referring to me, I get 9.4L/100km on normal city run or 15.4L/100km on a harder pushing run where I give it a little :lol:.

I was reffering to this;

Could we just cruise to Tims' place on the way back, he could drop off his FTO and then ride shotgun with someone into the city?

    lol, yup. Went shopping one morning and they were hard to get out of accessories, then when I went to work, they were royally jammed. Could still lock the car because of the immobiliser, just had the key stuck in it. Covered it with a film canister for like a week before Tim saved me. :lol:

    It's cause I've got an auto, there's this cable that runs from the gear selector, and will only let go of the key when it's in park. And it died. We ended up just disconnecting it. I learnt how to take apart all my consoles though! Could not for the life of me find where the cigarette lighter was meant to go again though.

    Also, spoke to vipfto (Tim) today, he's available past 4pm. Perhaps if we met at that time somewhere close to where the route begins (assuming we're using the one I suggested) at around that time. We can have a meet'n'greet and a little show and tell before he arrives. :idea: :?:
