hey, i can usually figure most stuff out, but ive never opened up an engine before, so im a bit reluctant to rip apart my baby untill i've seen it done (in person). from my experience so far most mechs dont know anything about ftos.
has anyone here (from Sydney) done a tappet adjustment on a gpx before that might be able to give me a hand? i'd be willing to pay (beer, cash...) for your time if it's reasonable...
Tappet adjustment - can anyone help?

Tappets aren't that hard, well the FTO has probably got to be the 2nd most hardest that I've done, doing shims on a 3.5 ltr rodeo is #1.
Doing the front bank is easy just removing the cover and coils, the rear bank you have to remove the inlet manifold which is held in by 9 bolts and I removed the throttle body which is held in by 5 bolts (4 on manifold and 1 on a braket).
Another thing is you will need to make a tool to undo the locknuts on the tappets as they sit sorta under the cam, I made one with a 10mm ring spanner.
