New front bar or bodykit for my fto

Post by fto_gurl »

Hi All,

I am looking for a full kit or even just the front bar for my fto. I have pretty much well destroyed the original front bar and would much rather put something aftermarket on it than pay an arm AND a leg for an original one. I know I can probably find one cheap of someone but the kits look much nicer. I am looking for the ones that everyone usually does a group buy on from the UK. They have like the big mouth thing at the front and look sweet. So if anyone knows where I can pick one up please pm me as I need it pretty soon. I will try and figure out how to post a picture. Hang on...

<a href="http://img179.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... barnu6.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/2781 ... nu6.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a>

We will see how that goes.. but that's the one I would like if anyone has one or anything...

Thank You,

Faye.

Those kit will cost you more then the original or any other kits in the end. I wouldn't use it even if someone give one to me for free.

The labor cost will out weight the price of the poor quality fitment of the kit. Those who had one put on had went through lots of blood and swear inorder to fit them.

dmd made one of those as a custom one off for one of the members. would be a good idea to see if they did make a mould of it

I think DMD will only sell your the BOZZ speed now but u can ring them to see if the DC one can be done - cos they have done a few. Get the side skirts with it also.

She said her original front bar is pretty much destroyed, so, for DMD to do a Pre T's (indy) replica like in the picture it would be stock bar + DC skirt + labour to remove centre bar and smooth + fitting and paint = roughly $1500

The Bozz with centrebar removed will probably come to $1000 or so, much cheaper, but, in my opinion, ugly like a motherfucker in comparison.

I still haven't fitted up my Pre T's :( The build quality isn't that bad though, just needs a little sandpapering. I mean, I reversed into mine, and it damaged the stock rear bumper of my car yet Jay's work was untouched.

imo standard dc or dcuatro one looks better anyway.. and id think its not too hard for a kit shop to modify a standard dc bar to have a big mouth anyway

Blended

Post by dstocks »

Its called a Factory T - which is a design based on the D Cuatro front lip. The D Cuatro lip is normally stuck on the standard bar. The one in your picture at the top is actually blended into the front bar and has the central bit removed. So, if you join the EOI just started under styling, youll be on nthe track to getting yourself one of those. Otherwise have a talk to DMD in Brissy as they have built a couple of them.

Hope this helps
