All new CD/DVD burning software does it these days, perhaps you need to upgrade yours.

issue fixed through ibm recordnow, my standard cd burning software

IBM, I called them Suxbm, as i've had so many of them before from work and they have to be the worst notebook range i've ever use, fix and try to warranty for my clients. Record so far is send 13 back for warranty within 4 mths and take them 2mths to fix each

Wouldn't use one if you give the lastest top spec to me.

Yeah just use Nero. Make an "Audio CD" and select all your MP3's - it will convert them for you

Once they're converted to CDA format do they retain the same compression size as the original MP3?
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

although windows media player takes longer to burn a cd then most other ones (i.e. nero), same as using the windows XP CD burning thingo to burn data cds, microsoft over complecate things (i.e. when u burn a data cd it copys it to a folder then burns it then deletes it, instead of just burning from where the source is)
