Advice from Autobahn....??

Post by mcgal »

I went to Autobahn today to get diff oil and was told I would not need it becuase I am changing my gearbox oil it goes in the same hole and that will do both?

Am i wrong in assuming this is total garbage.

I was under the impression the gearbox takes 2.2 litres and the Diff takes a further 4 litres of oil???

Is this correct???

right

maybe they are right then. I have allowed 2.2 litres of Motul for the job but thought I would need some for the diff as well. If its all in one and only takes 2.2ltrs for both, bonus.

Yeah because it is a FWD the gearbox and diff oil is the same
So you fill/drain from the same place

Actually, oddly enough when me and a friend did his FTO box, we filled it up with like 2ish litres?

Your diff is in the gearbox, like most front wheel drives.
