Haha, mine were in such bad shape when I pulled them out! The paper cones had all but fallen away from the outer rim
Friggin rubber part disintergrated.
I replaced with 6" splits I think, needed an adapter but... basically hacked up the plastic basket and glued down a ring of mdf to screw into.

I replaced the originals with 6's. Just need to be a little creative with mounting.

6.5's slot straight in, 6's you will need to get creative.... all I did was butcher the existing screws into the plastic housing (making my own holes) whn fitting 6's.

I have 6.5" Focals in mine, mounted on an MDF bracket I made up. Can't remember why at the time but I think I needed to.

Could that be because they were a 3 scrw configuration??
I am going the Boston Acoustic SL60's which are 6.5"
No drama's really with the install...

yeah i use to have the bostons 6.5 " that i then sold to scarecrow and i sold it to him with all the mountings. Best to fit the 6.5" as they will be nice and tight and will giv a great sound. but i do have to mention to u that u gotta make simple mounts for it with MDF.

Oooh .. Nice. I've always been a fan of Focals. I've got a pair of 6.5" Pioneer Bullets. It's done the job .. so am considerably happy with them.
