Any opinions of Carizma in melb?
I'm considering dealing with Carizma in melbourne (buying a FTO). Does anyone have any opinions or advice in dealing with them?
Anything in particular to look/ask for?
cheers,
Chris.

Well let just say i wouldn't deal with them, simple reason, my friend sold the six speed supra to them for $36,000 not wholesale, just normal newspaper ad! & now they try 2 sell it for $46,000 what a joke, i'm sure when u there u notice a white six speed twin turbo supra, with 19" chrome rims! Thats my friends one, he even still got all the org paperwork for it 2!

They are a car yard, you never get the same amount for a trade-in as if you sold it privately. Naturally they are going to sell the car for as much as they can get for it.
I don't see a problem with them asking that much for it, if people don't want to buy the car, they can either haggle the price down, or shop elsewhere. I would hope though, they give their customers a level of services that matches the price paid.
Without inspecting the car you probably also can't tell if they have done any extra work to the car before selling it (apart from a cleaning).

Yeah MattG I know they r car yards & need 2 make a living, but not when u have a huge markup, & it wasn't a trade in!!!!! I understand if u brought it from Japan & then sell it at that price, cause they have 2 do all the run around & paper work, but all they did is paid the money then park it at their show room, & theres nothing wrong with the car cause he hardly drives it, & its just been service before he sold it. So I don't think theres anything 2 be done. I've certainly didn't c any extra on it now!
But then again, maybe my friend sold it 2 cheap!!!

I paid them a visit lately and the overall impression that I got was not very good.
Their customer service was lacking somewhat -- the salesperson I was dealing with seemed very impatient and unwilling to fully clarify questions that I asked. Their prices are somewhat inflated as well IMO, but that's probably true of most car dealers selling FTOs.
I left the place quite disappointed...
