i have this. its not bad. i've set my mivec to kick in at 4.5. you can actually set 2 mivec points with this. i've left one at normal and one at 4.5.

I hv one too. I find kicking in at 4500 rpm is more noticable than 5500 = more fun

i tought it would be more fun too with mivec kicking in earlier . noticed any issues with it though? would it cause any damage to anything? does it make low end torque any worst . i mostly drive in the city and need my low end :(

You can really feel the surge compare to 5500rpm
But it doesn't mean it is faster.

It was proven on dyno that Mivec controller actually slows the car down.

I dunno about you guys, but I would feel uncomfortable modifying something like MiVEC. I mean, I don't think the Engineers made it kick in at 5.5k for the hell of it ;)

I could only see it doing more harm than good in the long run

With the Greddy E-Manage, could you get it make the Mivec kick in earlier by hooking it up to the VTEC YO!!!!! control.

To get any real use out of a Mivec Controller, you really need extreme mods. The reason being is that the Mivec switch is done at the most efficient point (i.e. when the low profile cam maxes out). Adjusting the Mivec change over point is only good for cars with lots of mods, and where the max power on the low profile cam has moved along the power range.

Otherwise, it's pointless... Dyno proven

You got enough for a piggyback buddy. If not a tune you should probably do a dyno run to check A/Fs and make sure you're not leaning out..

Have the 86X (the model up) but zero correction at the moment. Waiting for money to get the car tuned.
