Other than that looks like a sweet ride, just wish it was manual.
I think carbon fibre panels are alright. Maybe it's a rule that varies from state to state. But I've never found any thing in the rules for the RTA (in NSW) that mentions carbon fibre is illegal.
Some cars are produced with carbon fibre bits like the M3 CSL straight from factory.
Yeah that FTO looks like it has the Project F west carbon fibre boot lid. Incidentally, they have other bits and pieces in carbon fibre.
there is something about crumple zones or soemthing that can defect them... We are currently looking at making Evo style bonets for the FTO (with engineer's cert), would anyone be interested?
Ive got my hand up for a carbon fibre bonnet (plenty of vents i hope)
If u need a bonnet for a mold let me know i might be able to lend mine to you for a while.
I had to change my bonnet (i had the fibreglass bonnet) and get a custom new one. It comes in black and looks awesome, especially with the gt wing . but my car colour is silver. ill show you if someone can host the pic.
ummm, yeah good luck bringing that car in its current trim from japan... you'd be spending prob half the price of the purchase of the car to rip them out and replace them with OEM parts first before you can get it rego'd for the road, LOL...
the turbo job looks pretty neat though (too bad it's tiptronic). but i'd be curious to knwo what sort of mumbo it can produce under the hood, hehehe...
i wonder what the Poms will think at the Aston Martin HQ when they see us comparing our Jap toy with their flagship models, hahaha...
but geez, never realised how striking the similarities are esp at the front... guess we should be flattered that they copied our front-end eh? hehehe...
