anyone know what this is? it has a wire that leads into the steering column. on the actual device, it has the model name. "betime325"

You car don't have a flashy red strip of LEDs on the grill, and answers to the name KITT by any chance?
If you can't dazzle them with dexterity, baffle them with bull...

That says TURBO dosn't it? Turbo timer? Don't spose u've got a turbo have u?

Ohhh the good old R spec Mivec controller with optional "useless" panel. I've seen a few of these on different FTO. They cause nothing but trouble to all those owner so far.

Like Grue said the panel bit have a turbo timer funtion as well as oil temp & power indicator just to tell you that your got "good" power. Pretty useless for a N/A.

Interesting.... Then could be why your wires to your other oil temp were cut perhaps?

yeah, its got a turbo thing, but the car is n/a. looks like its quite useless... esp since i don't have a remote start control... just a remote to unlock the doors; does nothing else.
think i will tell the alarm fitter to get rid of it when i get one put in.

yeah, i have no idea why i would use the mivec controller... seems pointless to me
