Headlights keep blowing

Post by FtoSam »

okay this is starting to get annoying...
I had my new engine put in. my alternator was reco'd... I picked up the car and that day the front left headlight blew... it was a quality phillips one... a blue type.. anyway they were about 9 months old. and i bought another set off ebay. then a day after the same one blew... so put the other in... it lasted about 2 weeks and then blew..so i have put in one from supercheap... the only HB3 they had. I was thinking maybe my reco'd alt was putting out too much power but why hasn't my RH phillips blown? i dont know. And does anyone know where I can get some nice Blue Headlights off the internet? Cheap?
Also what type of globe are in the fog lights?
(95GPX)
cheers, Sam

are you handling the globe while changing?
If yes, the oil left from your hands can cause it to be blown,

Please don't get me started on Autobarn.. fark they're the biggest bunch of sh*t kunts i've seen.. cant even install 2 6x9 speakers, and had to make 2 trips back to get them to install it PROPERLY..

you can get bulbs from repco.
Fogs are H3 55w. I just bought some 5 mins a ago from repco $33.60. Narva Arctic blue ones. In the fogs there are little parker bulbs as well they are the same as the side repeater bulbs. i just pulled them out cos they are really orange and make my new bulbs look crap
