Hot to the touch

Post by artful_dodger »

Hello

ive owned an FTO for a couple of months now and im just starting to get into the running and operations of it

I may be just being paranoid, but after a half hour run when i put my hand on the bonnet it is hot to touch (any hotter and you would have to remove your hand after a few seconds)

Is this normal - my gauges are saying the temp is ok

What drew my attention to it was a hot metal smell but after reading other threads this is down to timing belt, seals and oil changes i have just had done

Your advise would be appreciated

Thanks

thats quite normal, as the cars about 10 years old and the engine bay is a really tight squeeze so a lot of heat stays inside
