Rear speaker grill.

Post by Blasphemy »

My vehicle currently has holes in the rear speaker grill where child restrains were fitted for compliance. Anyone have some grills *without* ugly holes in them?

not sure what the laws in NSW are like, but here in VIC you have to have the child restraint clips in place all the time. even if you are like me, 56 years old and no intention of putiing kids in the car. I can't anyway cus I've had the snip!

It seems that all cars need to have child restraints fitted to be road legal in NSW. Bugger. Maybe I could mount them somewhere else that isn't quite so butt ugly.

How much would the shipping be to Sydney, Panel?

    Hey Panel,

Do the ones you're offering have the holes in the speaker grill? If not, I'd like to go ahead with the purchase.

I am pretty sure that members have had trouble with the police for not having restraints in the car in the past... I think tarkus was one of them.

    Yep

Yep, I got picked up when I took it over the pits for ACT rego too. I just carry the restraint brackets in the boot. I can change them over in about 20 minutes.

I have already had the car blue slipped to register it in NSW. Would they actually check for child restraints on a pink slip?

Maybe, depends on who you use. Some are more diligent than others.

Technically it is part of the check of 'seats & seat belts' tick in the box
