a few people (me included) have pipes.. i htink the ones you mean.. down past the bottom of the right head light into the bumper area... RPW fit them aswell as to other types of cars as a better CAI than the typical airbox type because they pick up oncomming airflow from the bumper and stay cool easy enough. ive had no problem with water.. even if i wash the car and stick a hose for a brief moment on the air filter the water doesnt phase it much... although in reality it might be drying into the filter paper

i think its way too high to be hit by on-road water splashes

I have also done this on another FTO, with a much shorter scoop.
Water hasn't been a problem.

Hey Chris I can't seem to find the thread you're referring to. Would you be able to point me in the right direction of how you ran that pipe and where you drilled?

I took my front bar off on the weekend and alas, the front section of the air ducting where that guy was gonna drill a hole is actually flush up against my front bar so no chance in hell of ever running a pipe that way. Would have been nice though...... :(
