HELP ME please FTO power failing on hills

hey guys

I need help my fto is suffering when it tries to climb hills etc....the power totaly goes out of it and sometimes turns off and the volt meter points to 12v.... its struggles accelerating out of corners ...i have a very steep drive and the car shutdown by itself when i got to the top everything just locks up.... please help me :(

I know the alternator is causing ppl lots of trouble lately...

fuel? lol I assume its not that...

its got pretty much a full tank... when it first happened on friday i gave the alternator a wack like most people say too coz its a bush problem they say...but it happened again today .... but when it happens i can start the car again fine till it happens again

I don't see why it would be the alternator. If your car is dying and then resarts etc. Plus the car will run with no alternator for a while just off the battery, but it certainly wouldn't go again once it was flat.

I'd be thinking some kind of fuel problem but that's just a wild guess.

According to NRMA it could be the fuel filter in the tank...when it clogs up less fuel enters the system and seems like electric failure

Well Problem solved .... it was the idling it was too low ...YAY !
